
Adult Education
Adult Education, with the Rabbi, plans and executes educational programs geared for adult members. Examples of present /past programs are: Beginning Hebrew, Mitzvot of the Community, Judaism 101, Jewish Mysticism, etc.

Building & Grounds
Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of our Synagogue building and grounds; proposes annual budget; oversees janitorial services.

Education
Sets general curriculum and policy for the Hebrew School and Religious School; works closely with the Education Director; proposes the education budget.

Finance & Fund Raising
Recommends annual budget to the board; monitors collection of annual dues and pledges; monitors committee spending; plans and executes fund-raising activities to supplement income.

Kiddush/Kitchen/Seder
Maintains and operates the two kosher kitchens in the synagogue. Responsibilities could include preparation of Saturday morning Kiddush luncheons and/or coordination of community seder to be held on the second night of Pesah at the Syngogue.

Library/Archives
Maintains our books, documents, and memoribilia.

Membership
Keeps in touch with Jewish families in the community not affiliated with any congregation, especially new families, with the view of inviting them to become members; plans a new/prospective member social; helps new members become integrated in OZS life.

Religious/Ritual
Working closely with the Rabbi, plans and coordinates all religious services throughout the year; formulates rules and regulations for all religious services OZS offers (i.e. Bar/Bat Mitzvas, Weddings, etc.).

Helps provide adult guidance for post Bar/Bat Mitzva youth group.
